Tips for Sleeping Through the Night


1. Consolation and music Console her and just try that for about a week but wait longer each time before going in. Does she have any music player in her room or one of those crib attachment aquarium players?

2. Read "Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child" The basic idea is that kids NEED sleep and if we dont teach them how to stay asleep we're hurting them. basically it makes you feel ok letting them cry it out. i tried letting him cry for 5 min then soothing him then another 5...it took about 4 times

3. Keep the Lights Low Always kept the lights really low and never talked to him or did googily thing

4. Read "No Cry Sleep Solution" by E. Pentley She describes there what to do when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night. Basically you have to follow the steps she suggests and after 10days your baby will sleep much better.

5. Bears with heatbeat and lullaby player Bears that have a heartbeat sound inside of it and it seemed to help. The only problem with it was that it turned off after 40 minutes. I went to walmart.com and found a natures lullaby player

6. Start a Routine Start a routine that you do every night and stick to it. We do the same thing every night - bath, change into pajamas, bottle.

7. Use a Humidifier

8. Try a Pacifier Try substituting nursing with a pacifier.

9. Falling asleep after crying Letting him cry has started working like a charm! He's never cried for longer than 7 seven minutes and it's more like moaning than crying and he is actually getting himself back to sleep!

10. Adiri Bottles Try adiri bottles, so much more like the boob

11. Having your husband take over The child "smell" the mother, so if the mother is around she will want to breastfeed. Keep the father in charge for few nights so she will know that food is coming in the form of a bottle (you can pump if you don't want formula)

Start to eat solid food as rice cereal:5 mos 3 wks

First raspberry 6 mons 2 wks 1 day

First stand up on her feet:5 mos 1 wk 6 days

First standing up on her knee: 5 mos 1 wk 4 days Start to crawl: 5 mos

Sleep through the night: 5mos 1 wk 2 days Commando crawling:4mos 2wks

Start to biting her lower lip: 4mos 1 wk

Roll over both side:3 mos2 wks

First laugh out lound:3 mos1 wks

Roll over one side: 3 mons

The First Month at Home – What a Month

This month is an easy and hard month for us. Why do I say that? Because the first two weeks our little girl she likes to sleep a lot and after two weeks it was so hard to make her go to bed. She likes to sleep in the day time and be awake at night. As we were new parents we didn’t know how to make her go to sleep. Another problem was she didn’t know how to drink from my breast. She didn’t know how to latch on. When she was hungry it made her cry and cry. I wanted to teach her how so I kept trying to breastfeed her every night before feeding her by the bottle with the milk I pumped. Other than this she was fine. I made a lot of milk. I pumped and stored a lot of breast milk. She woke up about 3 times at night like at 10 pm, 1 am and 3 am. Some nights she woke up at 1 am and stayed up till morning. Yes we were very tired but at the same time it was so much fun and joy too. Her daddy said “Welcome to the world. We are so glad you are here” Every morning. I think that was very sweet of him. Even if you were harder than this we would still love you our dear Sophie.

Welcome to the world little angel

Today is the day that my little angel was born. she born 5 days before her due date (due (date is June,12) actually Mommy has a last appointment with OB gyn doctor at 11 am then the doct0r told mommy that "you should go to the hospital as soon as possible .Your cervix is already opened 4 cm and that means if it opens to 10 cm you will go in delivery." So mommy called daddy at work and he took the train back home and we went to the hospital and finally at 10.12 pm my little girl came out to the world. She was so little lke a doll and had a sweet face like a doll. We named her Sophia and Gamfunh in Thai which means "dream cheeks" in English because we were struck by the beauty of her cheeks. She weighed 6.4 Lbs, lenght 18" and her head was 14" She is such a lovely lovely girl. Yes yes I know because she is our baby she has to be the most precious baby in the whole world. I love you baby. Welcome to the world. We love you so much.
